There is just nothing like a first birthday....
First bites of birthday cake, balloons, fun colors, it's all new and so special.
My nephew turned one over the summer and I held onto the photos for quite a while.
I wanted the perfect papers and embellishments, and October Afternoon does not disappoint.
Their Cakewalk line is perfect for first birthday layouts.
I cut out the banner and title from one of the patterned papers and then added the buttons.
The cut outs are part of the line and go together so easily. I used three stars to create a visual triangle and grouped my embellishments together. My journaling is on the kraft paper tucked behind the polka dot patterned paper.
It was a super fun layout to create and I have two more layouts to go with this one that I will be sharing later in the week.
